Working with SCCYP
Working Partnerships
SCCYP! is committed to working in partnership with other organisations. We are developing a number of strategic partners. To date we have worked with Save the Children, YouthLink Scotland, the Childrens Parliament, Young Scot and Children in Scotland to name just a few.
SCCYP & the Children's Parliament
SCCYP works in partnership with the Children's Parliament to access the views and opinions of children up to the age of 14.The Children's Parliament is a registered charity which aims to provide sustainable and meaningful opportunities for children of 14 and under to engage in local, national and international forums and decision-making processes. It aims to allow children to develop their self-confidence, self-awareness and self-esteem and to create opportunities for them to meet and give their views on what matters to them and what is happening in the world around them.
The staff team work closely with the Children's Parliament, with one member of staff acting as an Ambassador with a group from Fife.
Most recently, the members of the children's parliament helped recruit the Commissioner as well as other new members of staff in the office.
